As part of the "How Do You Hotel" survey that Hotels.com conducted to gauge consumer purchasing behavior and attitudes towards hotels, 64 percent of respondents said their favorite hotel amenity was a complimentary breakfast--which was the most popular response of the multiple answers. The survey said high-tech features such as high-speed Internet and flat-screen TVs were important to 16 percent of respondents. Overall, price still is the most important consideration in the hotel selection process and hotel amenities are least important in the purchasing decision. The survey also found that more than 67 percent of respondents feel more confident booking hotels online when they see a photo of the property.
