NSW: Iemma announces last places in his cabinet
New South Wales Premier MORRIS IEMMA has put the finishing touches on his cabinet,
announcing the final three places today.
Kogarah MP CHERIE BURTON will be the new minister for housing, and has also been appointed
assistant health minister, specialising in mental health.
Swansea MP MILTON ORKOPOULOS has been appointed minister for Aboriginal affairs and
minister assisting the premier on citizenship.
And upper house MP ERIC ROOZENDAAL will be the minister for ports and waterways.
The three MPs have been elected by the state Labor caucus to fill the cabinet vacancies
created by the retirement of BOB CARR, ANDREW REFSHAUGE and CRAIG KNOWLES.
Caucus has also endorsed Transport Minister JOHN WATKINS as the new deputy premier.
Mr IEMMA says the three new ministers and Mr WATKINS will be formally sworn in at Government
House tomorrow.
