Fed: Federal police seize record amount of ecstasy
Seven men will appear in court this morning in connection with Australia's largest
ever haul of ecstasy.
Around 76kg of the drug - 67kg in tablets and the remainder in powder form - were seized,
along with 9kg of cocaine, in Brisbane and Sydney.
The previous record seizure was 32kg in 1989.
The drugs, believed to have originated in The Netherlands, were concealed inside a
shipping container packed with farming equipment.
