NSW:Labor tries to see off oppn on health

SYDNEY, Feb 21 AAP - The NSW government will spend $245 million to redevelop two hospitals
in western Sydney, as part of its pre-election pitch to voters.

Deputy Premier and health minister Carmel Tebbutt said the funds are earmarked for
projects at both the Blacktown and Mount Druitt hospital campuses, including a cancer
care centre at Blacktown.

The announcement on Monday comes a day after Opposition Leader Barry O'Farrell said
a coalition government would spend $3 billion on hospital infrastructure, including upgrades
