I LOVE Ysgol Bryn Teg.
We have the best teachers in the world. They are really kind. Ourschool is a healthy school and we all try to look after ourselvesand live a healthy lifestyle by learning and playing outdoors asmuch as possible.
We have our own fruit and veg co-op. We take orders off parentsand teachers, we phone the farmer at his farm in Llanrhidian onGower and he brings it to school on a Wednesday morning and we sortit out, then bag it and take it to the teachers or parents.
Every year, year six go on a trip to Pendine for a week. We dolots of exciting activities like Low Ropes, High Ropes, rockclimbing, abseiling and lots of other things. It's great fun!
Our school uses the outdoor classroom whatever the weather. Yearone children have made their own Fairy Garden where they writeletters, leave them in the garden and get replies from Fairyland.
Bryn Teg and two other schools did the Big Dance together andtried to break a world record, and we made it into the Guinness Bookof records.
We recently held an eco-week in school. All the children in theschool have brought in their blue bag recyclable waste and madefamous landmarks. We have made posters to show the children how torecycle.
In January, two of our teachers went to visit schools in India. They had a shock because of the poor conditions the children weretaught in. Also during March the whole school sang Place of Trustlive over the internet, to our friends in India, to celebrate RE.
I have had a brilliant time learning in Ysgol Bryn Teg. I'mlooking forward to going to Bryngwyn but I will really miss BrynTeg.
It is the best school in the world.
OUR new Junior Star page aims to give our schools a platform toshowcase the excellent work going on in classrooms and playgroundsacross Llanelli. Predominately in the form of a photo essay producedby the school, plus editorial written by the pupils themselves (nomore than 300 words please) outlining why it is such a specialplace, we hope to feature a different school each week. Make sureyour school doesn't miss out! For advice on how to have your schoolfeatured in future weeks, call reporter Geraint Thomas on 01554745307.
